My name is Zamra Juma. I am 14 years old and in Grade 6 at Dibamba Primary School.

Thank you for improving Dibamba Primary School. We previously studied in old classrooms and used unsafe toilets. During my menstrual period, I stayed home for almost five days each month because the toilets did not meet my hygiene needs. Now the toilets are clean, and I can attend school confidently.

My name is Hashimu Mustafa Hashimu. I am 13 years old and in Grade 6 at Dibamba Primary School.

Before the Tuwalinde Watoto programme, our school had poor learning conditions. We sat on the floor, had only 4 old classrooms and used ageing toilets that many children avoided. Some children missed school because of these conditions. We now have good classrooms, toilets, teachers’ housing and teaching and learning materials.

I am more motivated to attend school and hope to perform better in my Grade Seven final examinations.
